Utility defender Clinton Bulimo has been impressive for Western Stima FC so far in the FKF Premier League season and for a debutant in the top flight, has done more than enough to be noticed. Bulimo plays in both defensive flanks for Stima.

On December 18, 2020, Western Stima travelled to Nairobi to take on hosts AFC Leopards. Not many gave them a chance as they travelled on matchday. When they lined up to take on a high flying AFC Leopards, they perfectly executed their game plan well, they smashed and grabbed a win in the enemy territory, shocking the home fans.

This was a match that exposed the young Bulimo.

The 21-year-old shut the Ingwe right side of attack with ease and ensured that the Leopard was tamed.

Such performances have been solely missed and the former Manyatta United and Kisumu Hot Stars defender feels the league was stopped just when the team had picked up rhythm and was rising from the relegation zone.

It’s momentum loss for us but everyone is keeping fit and I am sure the team will just pick up from where we left. We were playing well and had risen off from the bottom. So the next plan was to continue going up,” he told FKF PL.

”As a team you know we don’t have a sponsor so it also wasn’t easy when the league was going on. Right now, it’s even worse because we are not playing and cannot get the match allowances that we used to get.
