There is hope for resumption of sporting activities in the country after President Uhuru Kenyatta directed the Ministry of Sports and Health to provide guidelines that will ensure that the process is done in accordance to the laid down guidelines.
On March 26, President Kenyatta suspended all sporting activities in the country indefinitely following the spike in coronavirus infections in the country.
Many sportsmen pleaded with the government to ease the restrictions but that did not happen.
"The resumption of sporting activities shall be guided by the regulations to be issued by the Ministry of Health jointly with the Ministry of Sports,” President Kenyatta said in his address on Labor Day.
Many federations have been pleading with the President to consider lifting the ban with most vaccinating participants in their respective leagues.
