The Nigerian government has taken steps to fill up the 60,000 capacity Moshood Abiola Stadium for the clash between Nigeria and Ghana for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

The match scheduled to take place on March 29, is crucial for both teams who seek to take part in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The Office of the Head of Service of the Federation through a letter directed all offices to close at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 29.

The closure of the offices is to enable public servants to travel to the Moshood Abiola Stadium to cheer on the National men’s team.

In addition to that, the Nigeria Football Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development purchased 20,000 tickets for fans to watch the game.

Free transport for the fans around Abuja was also provided with about 24 designated pick-up locations.

During the preparations, Ghana had a small hitch on March 28 as Moshood Abiola National Stadium suffered a power outage.

Both teams will be battling to have a spot at the Qatar 2022 World Cup with only five available spots for African Teams.

The first leg which took place on March 25 at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi ended in a goalless draw.

Ghana having missed the 2018 edition require either a win or a goalscoring draw in order to go for the 2022 Qatar World Cup while the Super Eagles who are the hosts need to win the match and avoid a goalscoring draw over their neighbours.
