
Al Duhails striker Michael Olunga has expressed his confidence in his side's ability to achieve a positive result that would take him to the next round of the AFC Champions League.
Olunga's side will be taking on Al Taawoun on Friday, April 22. Olunga was tasked to address the press on behalf of his teammates after missing the previous match due to an injury.
“We have an important confrontation ahead. In the fifth round of the group stage against the Saudi Taawon team, which we faced in the first round and lost to it.

“For this, we know the importance of this match, especially since we will enter it while we are at the top of the group and we need to win in order to advance to the next round of the competition.
“We are fully focused on the field and implement all the directions of the technical staff in order to continue providing the performance required of us and to produce the result we need,” Olunga stated.
Olunga also revealed that an injury was responsible for him missing the first group stage match against Al-Taawoun.
“I was absent from being with the team in the first match against Al-Taawoun due to injury, and now I am among the options of the technical staff,” Olunga noted.
Al Duhail suffered their only loss in the group against Al Taawoun on April 7, the match which Olunga missed.
The 28-year-old striker has two goals to his name so far in the AFC Champions League and will be hoping to replicate his last season's numbers to be the top scorer.
In Al Duhails previous match was on Monday, April 18 where Olunga was on target as his team registered a 3-0 win against Pakhtakor FC in a Group D.
