The Holy month of Ramadan is just about to end - a time when Muslims worldwide dedicate themselves to prayer and reflection.
The fasting is obligatory and applies to all, including sportsmen and women. In some cases, matches have been stopped to allow the players to break their fast.
Liverpool striker Sadio Mane has come out to reveal that the team had to change their schedule to accommodate the Muslim players during their fasting period.

Mane noted that after talks with both the manager and captain they were given time off after morning training.
The Senegalese footballer noted that during the fasting period it is never an easy ride as players have to balance between the match fixtures and the fasting calendar.
"It's not easy, but we spoke to the captain and the boss to ask if we could change the schedule. We then trained in the morning, then we had time to rest and go home. If you train around 2pm or 3pm, it would be tough. But they said yes and it made things easier!
"It's tough but Liverpool tried to make everything easier for us. We spoke to Mona as well and she made everything easier for us to ensure we could do our Ramadan," Mane noted.
Other players in the Reds' squad who profess the Islamic faith include Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Ibrahima Konate and Naby Keita.
Notably, Muslim footballers celebrate goals by performing Sujood - the Islamic act of prostration.
Liverpool have two crucial fixtures against Villareal in the Champions League first leg of a semi-final and Tottenham in the Premier League, before the monthlong fast ends.
