
Camilla Lydia is the current coach for Team Kenya Triathlon at the Birmingham Commonwealth games 2022.
She is also the only female triathlon coach in East and Central Africa. A triathlon is an endurance multisport race consisting of swimming, cycling, and running over various distances.
Camilla represented Kenya as an athlete in the Duathlon Age Group Category during the World Championships in 2018 & 2019.

Athletes in this field compete for the fastest overall completion time as they race through each segment sequentially with the time transition between the disciplines included.
According to Camilla, the team representing Kenya is the best ever produced to compete at the games.
She also noted that Triathlon is among the toughest endurance sports and was hopeful Kenya will secure a podium position at the games.
"There was stiff competition from the country’s best of the best and we are confident our number ones from the selection races will do us proud," she stated,
Kenya will be represented by teenage tri-athlete Aisha Nasser and 20-year-old Joseph Okal representing the country at the Sprint Distance Triathlon at the Commonwealth Games.
The triathlon event will be making a third successive appearance at Birmingham. The first time the sport made its debut was in Manchester in 2002, with its last appearance in Melbourne in 2006.
The Commonwealth Games are set for July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham.
