"I am honoured to have been a part of this club’s history and the memories of the last 19 months will always have a special place in my heart,” read his statement.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager added that the love he received at Stamford Bridge made him feel at home.
“This is a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally. Thank you so much to all the staff, the players and the supporters for making me feel very welcome from the start,” added Tuchel.
Tuchel had a successful stint with The Blues winning various titles including the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy, the club world cup and the super cup.
He also guided Chelsea to a third-place Premier League finish and thus ensured the club qualify for the 2022/2023 UEFA Champions League tournament.
Chelsea's new owners felt that Tuchel was not the right man to take the club forward after registering dismal performances at the start of the season.
They recently replaced him with Graham Potter who has a vast experience of English football having managed clubs like Brighton & Hove Albion and Swansea.
