Nottingham Forest has renewed the contract of their first team manager Steve Cooper.
In the past few days, reports suggested that the manager would face the axe due to the team's underperformance in the league.
The new deal will see the English manager coach the newly promoted side until 2025.

“Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce that Steve Cooper has signed a new contract with the Club.
“The Forest Head Coach has signed a new deal at The City Ground running until 2025,” part of the letter read.
The Tricky Trees have had a poor start to the season after their promotion, losing six out of eight matches, putting them at the bottom of the table.
Steve Cooper has been the manager at the City Ground since September 2021 and was able to lead the team back to the Premier League since their relegation in 1998.
During his time as a Forest manager, the 42-year-old has won a total of 29 games out of 54.
According to the club's statement, the manager will be accorded the necessary support to achieve further success.
Nottingham signed a total of 23 players during the 2022 summer transfer window, with the team yet to blend.
“It is now important that our focus is solely on football. As a group we are all concentrated and will do everything we can to help the team move up the league table and once again demonstrate our qualities that led us to the Premier League,” the statement read.
