Manchester City has alleged that its team bus was attacked after their Premier League match against Liverpool staged at Anfield Stadium.

The Pep Guardiola-coached side claimed that the bus came under attack when they were leaving Anfield.

According to reports, the action has not been received well by the multiple English Premier League champions.

“City are unhappy that their bus was damaged again. In 2018, Liverpool were fined by UEFA after fans attacked the City team bus as it arrived at Anfield for a Champions League quarter-final,” read a statement from Sky Sports News.

Guardiola also claimed after the match that some Liverpool fans hurled coins at him at one point during the game.

A lone goal from Egyptian international Mohamed Salah was enough to grant Liverpool three vital points against the match favorites in a hotly contested encounter.

Salah put the ball past Man City shot stopper Ederson Moraes after receiving a pin point pass from Allison Becker.

City’s defeat allowed Arsenal to open a four-point gap at the top of the 2022/2023 Premier League standings.

The Gunners have amassed 27 points from 10 matches while Man City have garnered 23 points from a similar number of games.
