
Athletics Kenya (AK) was listed among six other federations as a finalist for Member Federation Award.
The Member Federation Award is won by the national governing body, which has significantly impacted its athletes' fans and the community.
Winners will be announced on the World Athletics social media platforms during the World Athletics Awards 2022.

Among the main achievement of AK was that it was the first member federation to sign the Sport for Climate Action Framework.
According to World Athletics, the move by the Kenyan federation to sign the Sport for Climate Action Framework replicated the country's position in climate action.
Athletics Kenya has installed a total of four air quality sensors since August 2021, when it signed the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Sensors are in the Kasarani Stadium, Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi National Park and Nakuru Athletics Club.
The World Athletics also pointed out that the AK staged the only Continental Tour Gold meeting in Africa and also hosted a media development programme for the African region in 2022.
Athletics Kenya was also nominated for having topped the African Championships' medals and won 10 gold medals, five silver and eight bronze.
Kenyan athletes also produced some of the greatest runs in 2022, with Eliud Kipchoge lowering his marathon world record while Faith Kipyegon and Emmanuel Korir added world titles.
The other five federations nominated include Brazil, Guam, Jamaica, Korea and Spain.
