
Some of the workers who helped construct the stadiums used for the ongoing 2022 Qatar World Cup were recognized by FIFA.
According to the world football governing body, the workers played alongside some of the greatest names to have ever played the beautiful game.
The highly acclaimed match was played at the iconic Al Thumama Stadium within a 60-minute time limit.

“A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play with FIFA Legends.
“Last night, 24 workers integral to the delivery of Qatar 2022 were given the opportunity to play against, and alongside, some of the most iconic names in global football at Al Thumama Stadium,” a statement from FIFA read.
Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, was among the referees who officiated the match.
Justice Boye Odoi, one of the workers who hails from Ghana, described the experience as an unforgettable moment in his life.
“It was amazing. I really enjoyed everything. It was like a dream come true to see some of these guys. They are legends.
"The emotions were amazing, I enjoyed every bit of it. I was excited to see [Alessandro] Del Piero, especially, and Clarence Seedorf. They are amazing players.
“I went one-on-one with [Marco] Materazzi. That was one of the most exciting moments for me. I’ve always dreamed of playing with these guys or seeing them, so it was an amazing experience,” he was quoted by FIFA.
