
Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) on Friday, December 16, announced a new requirement for players representing the nation in football.
In a statement on its social media, FUFA stated that footballers from the men's and women's national football teams will be trained to sing the National anthem.
The same will also apply to team officials who accompany the teams to the different tournaments.

“All Players summoned to the Uganda National football teams will be tasked to undergo sessions to learn how to sing the National Anthem of Uganda,” read the statement from FUFA.
The Uganda Football Association is in charge of 10 National teams (Men and Women).
On December 14, World Football governing body, FIFA confirmed a list of Ugandan referees approved to receive FIFA badges for the 2023 calendar year.
The list with 24 names submitted by FUFA to the World Football governing body was released on December 14.
The 24 included eight centre referees and 10 Assistant Referees for the 11 aside football.
Two slots were given to the Futsal officials with Beach Soccer getting four chances.
Uganda men's national team is ranked 89 in the latest FIFA rankings with women's team at 161.
