AFC Leopards shared details of the match attendance for the Mashemeji Derby against their long-time rivals, Gor Mahia.
The match which was played on Sunday afternoon, January 29, at the Nyayo Stadium saw over 10,000 fans in attendance.
According to a statement by Ingwe, the match against Gor Mahia was the most attended match in the 2022/23 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL).

“Slightly over 10,000 tickets were snapped up for the weekend's Mashemeji Derby, making it our most-attended match in the league this season so far.
“461 of those tickets were for the VIP section, and 9565 were for the terraces,” the statement read.
If calculated one VIP ticket was sold at Ksh1,000 and regular at Ksh300 making the earnings from the VIP at Ksh461,000 and regular at Ksh2.8 million.
In total, the Mashemeji Derby saw Ksh 3.3 million being collected from ticket sales.
Ahead of the fixture, mobilization for the match was done by various key football figures like Harambee Stars captain, Michael Olunga, Victor Wanyama, Eric Johanna, Lawrence Juma, and Kenneth Muguna among others.
The match however did not have any goals as it ended with a barren draw.
Gor Mahia is second in the league three points behind leaders Nzoia Sugar with two games in hand while AFC is eighth six points adrift from K’Ogalo.
