Harambee Stars will miss the services of two key players when they take on Pharaohs of Egypt tomorrow in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Dependable centerback Joseph Okumu and FKF Premier League leading scorer Eric Kapaito are all ruled out. Okumu picked up a knock while on club duty with his Swedish top tier side IF Elsfborg.
Kapaito on the other hand picked a hamstring in Harambee Stars training on Monday.
With Brian Mandela not in the squad, Simba SC’s Joash Onyango and Joash Omurwa are likely to partner at the back.
"It will be a big gap missing those two players. I spoke to Okumu last evening and he was sounding a little bit better. He was down when that happened but he is better now. But we still have able replacements for the two," coach Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee said on Tuesday.
