Kenya vs Egypt, Players to Watch

In tomorrow's AFCON qualifiers fixtures Kenya will host Egypt .With some of the key players missing in the training camp head coach Ghost Mulee remains hopeful that the able replacements will fill in the gap.

The Egyptians named a very strong squad that has travelled to Kenya with some of their household names present. Egypt will depend very much on their key players who are most likely to be part of the starting line up.

Some of the players to watch

Mohammed Salah

 The sensational Liverpool forward who currently sits at the top of the top scorers list this season will be part of the Egypt squad that faces Kenya and is considered a huge threat to the Kenyan defence line. He missed the first leg of this tie but is back in the squad. His arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport caused a stir as fans struggled to get selfies with him.

Mohammed ElNeny

The 28 year old Arsenal midfielder is also a notable player in the Egyptian lineup. ElNeny has made 79 appearances for his national side and is now part of the team that has travelled to Kenya. He is a man for the big games and this might just be the perfect stage for him.

Mahamoud Trezeguet

The 26 year old Egyptian plays for the English Premier league side Aston Villa and has made 46 appearances for The Pharaohs. With his experience he is considered a menace to the Kenyan midfield. He likes  bursting from both wings and could be a threat to either wingbacks.

Mostafa Mohamed

 The Egyptian forward who plays for the Turkish club Galatasaray S.K on loan from Zamalek SC is also a player to watch.The 23 year old has made 5 appearances for the Turkish Club and 4 appearances for the National side. 

Harambee Stars Players To watch

Michael Olunga

The 26 year old Kenyan striker who plays for the Qatar based side Club Al Duhail has made 41 appearances for the Kenyan national team Harambee Stars and stands as a threat to the Egypt line of defence. Scored the equalizer when the two teams met in November 2019. He was solely missed against the Comoros but the captain will be ready to lead from the front when he leads Ghost’s side out of the dug out.

Eric Ouma

The 24 year old left back well known for his speed and agility on the left wing plays for the Swedish side AIK and has made 26 appearances for the national team. He will have the task of stopping the likes of Salah and Trezeguet but also aid in attack for Stars.

Kenneth Muguna

 The Gor Mahia midfielder  is also one of the players to watch in the Kenya Vs Egypt duel ,plays at the midfield position commonly known for his accuracy and skills .He poses as a threat to the entire Egypt central point if not well contained.

The match will be held at Kasarani Stadium and will kick off at 7pm EAT.
