Team Kenya Sends 42 Athletes to Tokyo

Athletics Kenya has named a total of 42 athletes for the Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan.

The summer games which begin on July 23 were postponed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

For the First time in 53-years two sprinters, Ferdinand Omanyala and Mark Otieno have made it to the Olympics Hellen Syombua has meanwhile been selected to represent Team Kenya in the 400m women race in Japan.

Olympics and World 3000m steeplechase champion Conseslus Kipruto and Vivian Cheruiyot miss out from the final squad.
