After long speculations, the deal is finally done! Kenneth 'Junior' Muguna will join Tanzanian side, Azam FC once his contract with K'Ogalo ends in October. 

The midfield sensation had top clubs in the continent eyeing to bag him in after details of his contract's expiry came fully to the know. Azam FC's Communication Director Zaka Zakazi confirmed Muguna was in Tanzania early this month and had signed a two year contract with the giants. More to the contract penned, Azam FC owned up to having paid Muguna Ksh 1.6million which was meant to clear the CAF fine that had been dished out to the Kenyan midfielder after he was found guilty of unsports-man like conduct. 

Due to the indecency and a 4-match ban, The 25-year old was stripped off the Gor Mahia armband and Harun Shakava stepped in as the new skipper. On the flip side, Muguna has been involved in 18 goals for Gor Mahia this current season. He has 5 goals to his name and also managed to set up 13 clear cut chances that resulted in goals. 

For these top class performances, Muguna was named the best player in the Betway Cup. More to his accolades, Muguna also won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2016. At 20, the iconic playmaker was named the midfielder of the year and was a runner-up in the new player of the position. At  the tender age, Muguna was later gifted Ksh 1.6million. The highest ever prize won by a Kenyan Footballer within the league. 

Muguna had a short spell in Albania but soon rejoined Gor Mahia in 2018, winning the KPL title thrice in a row. He also received his first team call up in 2016 and in 2019, he came to Harambee Stars' rescue against a friendly with Uganda after scoring an equaliser that saw the two rival teams end in a 1-1 draw
