Harambee Stars winger Cliff Nyakeya has terminated his contract with Egyptian side FC Masr.

The 23-year-old former Mathare United player confirmed the latest development on his official social media pages, ending his two-year stay in Masr.

“Have had to go through a lot the past one year and now I have decided to end my contract with FC MASR(ZED) after two years by mutual consent, Thank you for the trust and the opportunity you gave me to play in the Egyptian League and for the first time outside my country.....GOOD LUCK!” He wrote.

The speedy winger signed a four-year contract with the Egyptian side in 2019 after a stellar 2018 in which he was named Kenya’s best midfielder by the Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK).

He previously featured for Gor Mahia Youth before joining the 2008 Kenya champions Mathare.
