7 Kenyan teams, both male and female will represent the country in the regional tournament that is set to begin on November 28th and run all through till December 6th. The 7 Teams are; Nairobi Water(w), National Cereals Board (w), KDF Women (w), Men's National Cereals Board, Strathmore University, Black Mamba and GSU. The teams are currently keeping their skills sharpened and ready in the on going local leagues that made a full resumption on 26th June after a 3 month break.
APR of Rwanda, the reigning men Champions will also attend the tournament as well as teams from Tanzania, Zanzibar, Burundi, DR Congo, Uganda and Djibouti. The Games have also been confirmed to be held in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.
In the ongoing Kenya Handball Federation National League, reigning Champions Nairobi Water are still unbeaten having played 3 matches already. The side looks immensely sharp and will prove to be tough challengers to the regional tournament.
On the men's side, former league winners, KDF also remain unbeaten in the league and have garnered 12 points from 6 matches. Strathmore University also look pretty impressive being second place in the league are also unbeaten with 12 points.
