Manchester city is set to part ways with their star striker Sergio Aguero after he made 384 appearances for the club since joining from Atletico Madrid back in 2011.
The Argentinian international will be honoured by a statue crafted in his image at the Etihad stadium alongside some of the club legends Midfielder David Silva and former Captain Vincent Kompany for the achievements they have made while on duty with the club.
The 32 year-old striker will leave the club at the end of the season after a decision made by the club not to renew his contract after it expires at the end of the season. Aguero has not been of much significance in terms of fully delivering his services to the club after he spent the better part of the season on the sidelines due to injuries that have only seen him make 14 appearances this season.
In his 10 year playing career at Etihad Aguero will go down as a club legend since he has propelled Man City into winning 4 premier league titles ,an FA Cup and 5 league cups while the club is still chasing after the UEFA Champions league this season as they appear to be among the favourites to win the European title .
Sergio Kun Aguero is also City's record scorer after he broke the 78 year record of 177 goals set by the club's Hall of Famer Eric Brook. The City striker has now amassed a total of 257 goals from the 384 appearances he made for the Cityzens.
One of the historic memories Aguero made for City was the final shot he took and scored the winning goal against QPR ,his last minute goal led the club into their first premier league title in 2011/12 season beating their neighbours at Old Trafford on goal difference to win the title.
The club has eyes set to replace their star striker this summer with reports stating that the club has showcased interest in Southampton FC key forward Danny Ings and Borussia Dortmund's youngster Erling Haaland.
