
The Kenya Under-23 football team, Emerging Stars, are just a match away from the CECAFA Under-23 challenge cup on their debut.
The Emerging stars will face off with Burundi in the second semi-final on Tuesday in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.
Stanley Okumbi’s Stars finished top of Pool C after beating Djibouti 3-0 in the opener and South Sudan 2-0 in the second match.

KCB’s Reagan Otieno and Gor Mahia forward Benson Omalla will once again be tasked with the hunt for goals against Burundi.
The two scored in each of Kenya’s two matches with Ulinzi Stars’ John Njuguna also on the scoresheet.
Burundi under the tutelage of Coach Jimmy Ndayizeye qualified for the semi-final after fighting from a goal down to hold the hosts Ethiopia to a 1-1 draw at the Bahir Dar International Stadium on Friday.
The first semi-final match will see the impressive Tanzania take on South Sudan who emerged as the best runners-up in Pool C. Tanzania meanwhile finished top of Pool A.
