Kahata Set To Join Sudan Giants El Merreikh

Harambee Stars midfielder Francis Kahata is set to depart from his current club Simba SC in Tanzania at the end of this season.

The former Gor mahia midfielder contract expires at the end of the season and the Tanzanian club are not keen to renew it.

Kahata has been linked up to joining Sudan giants El Merreikh SC. The club has shown interest in the Kenyan Midfielder and is yet to make it his new home come next season as they look forward to signing him.

The 28 year-old has made 31 appearances for the Kenyan national side since 2011 and has been a key player in the Gor mahia midfield that guided K'Ogalo in their 3 rd straight premier league win in 2018-2019 before leaving for Simba SC in Tanzania as a free agent in mid 2019.

The Sudanese club is one of the oldest clubs in Africa having been founded in 1908.The club also boasts its rich history since it has won the Sudan Premier league 16 times and the has 14 Sudan Cup titles.
