
Kabras Sugar managed to maintain their unbeaten run after thrushing Mwamba 56-12. In a sizzling match that went down at the RFUEA Grounds on August 14th, Kabras put up an amazing performance of textbook rugby when Felix Ayange, Jone Kubu, Derrick Ashiundu, Alfred Orege and Jeanson Musoga each scored a try that put them on the lead 29-3 at the half hour break.
Kivasia would then drill home a second penalty after the restart to bring the score to 29-6 before Fijian born Kenyan Kubu landed his brace for a 34-6 score. Kivasia then drilled home another penalty for a 34-9 score before tries from Musoga, Brian Tanga and Kubu who landed and converted his hat trick for a 51-9 score.
Kivasa’s drop goal brought the scores to 51-12 before Musoga’s treble sealed the win for Kabras. The win sees Kabras maintain their second position with 39 points behind KCB having played 8 games and won them all. KCB are Top with 44 points having played 10 games and only lost 1.
Early on at the grounds also saw the first game of the day when Kenya Harlequin beat Blak Blad 34-7. Allan Odiyo gave Quins a 3-0 lead after drilling home a penalty. Blad responded with a try from Edwin Mutoka, Marshall Mutai converting for a 7-3 lead, the only lead they held. Eliud Mulakoli then converted tries from Herman Humwa and Anthony Abonyo to give Quins a 17-7 lead at the break. Second half tries from Mark Mongo, Edward Shitanda and Elisha Koronya as well as a Mulakoli conversion secured the win for Quins.
