Being a perfectionist, Cristiano Ronaldo has suffered another setback after failing to score against Burnley on Tuesday, February 8.

The Manchester United forward has suffered his longest run without a goal in club football for more than a decade.

The 37 year old striker has not scored in United’s last five matches, having recently missed a penalty in their FA Cup exit against Middlesbrough on Friday, February 4.

For most strikers it is not that of a big deal to go five games in a row without scoring but for the Portuguese forward has never experienced such since 2010 when playing for Real Madrid.

As for his International football account the last time he experienced the goal drought was in 2018.

Since his hyped return to Old Trafford, Ronaldo has scored 14 goals for United in 25 appearances with two goals in his last nine matches.

His last goal came against Burnley at Old Trafford on December 30.

Ronaldo, who started on the bench was introduced in place for Cavani with 20 minutes left to play on however, he was unable to inspire United to a win.

After the final whistle he stormed down the tunnel as his team-mates stayed behind to applaud the away fans.

United's next match will be against Southampton at Old Trafford on Saturday, February 12, as they hope to bounce back to a Champions League position
