
Kabras Sugar who were the 2016 Kenyan Cup winners on Saturday, March 12, was crowned the Kenyan Cup champions.
The champions ended their six-year drought after coming back against Menengai Oilers to win with a 34-28 scoreline.
Kabras trailed 8-21 to Menengai in the first half before they turned the tables at the Bull Ring Arena in Kakamega in the second half to win the final.

The 2022 Champions were led to their long awaited victory by South African head coach Jerome Muller.
The fixture between Kabras and Oilers is considered a derby with Kabras now having defeated their opponents for the fifth time.
Jone Kubu was honoured as the 2021/2022 Player of the Kenya Cup Final, after a masterclass performance.
Other players who won other awards include Darwin Mukidza, 2021/2022 top point scorer and Jone Kubu as the 2021/2022 top try scorer.
This was Kabras’ second title with their first one coming in May 2016 after defeating Impala Saracens 5-22.
The 2016 win made Kabras the second side that was based outside Nairobi to lift the title after Nakuru RFC.
