
Former Manchester City goalkeeper, Dan Grimshaw, was left requiring oxygen after a clash with Preston striker, Cameron Archer, during the Lancashire derby.
Grimshaw is currently playing for Blackpool in the championship. On Tuesday, April 5, during their match against Preston, it appeared as if the goalkeeper was hit by Archer‘s knee.
However, after 10 minutes of oxygen induction, the 24-year-old was rushed to the hospital. It was later reported that the Blackpool keeper had regained his consciousness.

The match between Blackpool and Preston, popularly known as the Lancashire derby, had a long stoppage due to the horrifying injury.
After the keeper was stretched off the pitch, he was replaced by former Preston North End stopper Chris Maxwell.
Preston won the derby after Cameron Archer put the ball past substitute keeper Maxwell.
After the final whistle, Blackpool manager Neil Critchley noted that the injured goalkeeper was improving.
"It was a horrible situation and you could tell straight away that he got caught.
"He's awake in hospital and he's responsive and that's positive news so far. We're all keeping our fingers crossed for him," Neil Critchley noted.
Grimshaw who has replaced Maxwell this season as the team's first goalkeeper has kept eight clean sheets.
The goalkeeper has made 28 appearances in all competitions with Blackpool positioned at 16 in the EFL Championship.
