Talanta FC failed to honour their match against Kakamega Homeboyz while their FKF Premier League counterparts AFC Leopards postponed their match with Nairobi City Stars over the unavailability of Nyayo Stadium.
Talanta FC players boycotted the match over unpaid dues and bonuses which have accumulated for over three months.
The cancellation of the Talanta and Kakamega Homeboyz means Homeboys will get 2 free goals and 3 more points making them tie with Tusker FC who are leading in the Kenyan league.

Kakamega Homeboyz have one match to go with Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday, June 11 that will seal their fate in the 2021/22 KPL season.
If Tusker FC are to maintain their glory they have to win the match with Posta Rangers.
Tusker FC have managed to maintain the lead despite the tie in the number of points with Kakamega Homeboyz due to their high number of goals.
Homeboyz was at the pitch and even had a prematch warm-up, but no FC Talanta player was at Ruaraka.
AFC Leopards postponed their match with Nairobi City Stars to Monday, June 6 at Thika Stadium.
In a statement shared on AFC Leopard’s socials, the club assured fans that all would be well and that the reason for them to change was that Nyayo stadium, where they were to square with City stars, was not available for use.
“Due to unavailability of venues, our match against Nairobi City Stars has been moved to Monday at Thika Stadium from 3 pm,” read the statement.
Some fans had traveled from Western Kenya to come to cheer Ingwe only to be met with an empty Nyayo Stadium.
Nairobi City Stars however have not issued their statement regarding the change in kick-off time and venue of the match.
The FKF Premier League clubs have been facing tough financial times after a major sponsor withdrew their sponsorship deals in AFC leopards, Gor Mahia, among other local football clubs that were engaged with them.
