
Liverpool's goalkeeper Alisson Becker scored an injury time goal from a corner kick against West Brom Albion on Sunday 16,May, to place his club in a prime position for the champions league spot next season.
The Brazilian became the first goalkeeper in Premier League history to score with a header and the first to score a winning goal when he nodded in a 93rd-minute winner that takes Liverpool to narrow closer with a point of fourth-placed Chelsea.
The Merseyside Red currently stay in fifth place on 63 points from 36 games, one behind Chelsea in the fourth and final qualification position. Leicester City are in third on 66 points with the latter two to meet on Tuesday 18, May.
After netting in the late winner against WestBrom Alisson has dedicated his match-winning, injury-time goal for Liverpool to his late father, who died earlier this year.
Alisson's father died in an accident at his home in Brazil, and the Liverpool goalkeeper reflected: "Football is my life…I hope my father was there to see it with God on his side celebrating."
