Belgium has unveiled its squad that will be on duty for Euro 2020 with Real Madrid’s star forward Eden Hazard named among the strong 26-man squad for the world’s highest ranked team.
Tactician Roberto Martinez sprung no major surprises, with Real Sociedad’s Adnan Januzaj and Liverpool’s Divock Origi the being some of the most notable names to miss the cut.
The 18-year-old Rennes striker Jeremy Doku has earned a spot in the team ahead of Origi, while Brighton’s Leandro Trossard beat Januzaj to a place after an impressive performance in the Premier League.
The named lineup is full of star names with Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Hazard among them, while former Tottenham and Arsenal centre-backs Jan Vertonghen and Thomas Vermaelen will also be expected to be on duty.
The head coach has also selected 11 reserve players who can step up in case of injuries ahead of the European show, which begins on June 11.
