Lionesses' ranking was boosted by its latest success at the Rugby Africa Women’s Pool B tournament, where they defeated both Zambia and the host nation Uganda.

Kenyan qualified for the next stage of the Rugby Africa Women’s Cup in 2023 following the impressive results in Uganda.
Uganda Women's dropped by four positions to 34, the biggest drop in the ranking.
The highest-ranked women's rugby African team was South Africa at position 13, while England took the top spot.
In the men's ranking, Lionesses' counterparts Kenya Simba dropped rank by one position to 34.
The Springboks remain the highest-ranked African men's team despite dropping a position to the fourth spot.
Meanwhile, Kenya Simba began their final qualification tournament with a 64-14 loss to the USA.
In the second round of matches, Kenya will take on Portugal on November 13 before playing Hong Kong on November 18.
