Sadio Mane was included in Senegal's squad for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 despite suffering an injury.

“I preferred to keep him in the group because these are situations that we have already experienced to a lesser degree with Ismaila Sarr at the CAN. We managed to manage it well.
"But as I told you at the regulatory level, I have time to make a change. Before our first game, there is a possibility of a change. But we will do everything we can to get Sadio back," Cisse noted.
After the squad announcement, Mane immediately took his excitement to his social media, noting that he was ready for the tournament,
“Son of a lion, I won't give up. Senegal is ready, bring on thee World Cup,” Mane tweeted.
On Thursday, November 10, Bayern revealed that Mane had suffered an injury to the head of his right fibula and will miss their fixture against Schalke 04.
Senegal will begin their Group A campaign against the Netherlands on November 21.
