The racing competition is the third largest sporting event in the world after the Summer Olympic Games and the Football World Cup.

The ticket sales for the event will begin on December 12, with the Budapest organising committee expected to sell 420,000 tickets.

According to the organisers, the tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. It would be an online ticketing exercise.

The tickets would be sold for as low as Ksh4,035 ($33) for the 100M heats.

Those for evening racing competitions would go for Ksh6,604 ($54), featuring various disciplines.

Omanyala only participated in the World Athletics Indoor Championships in the just-concluded season.

However, the fastest man in Africa embarked on pre-season training at the Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi, seeking to improve his performance in the 2023 season.
