"I want us to develop a partnership that is sustainable. I want us to walk our talented Women to AFCON 2026 and our Men's team to AFCON 2027. Let us walk this dream together to get our Harambee Stars to the World Cup 2030. This is the main reason we are gathered here this morning," Namwamba stated.
Namwamba, who was accompanied by Sports Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke, urged the stakeholders to continue investing in Kenyan sports in order to make it a mega commercial industry.
During the meeting, the Sports CS also presented the Talanta Hela program to the attendees. He assured the stakeholders of the government's support as they partner to revive sports in the country.
The CS reiterated the government's commitment to issue tax rebates and other benefits to corporates that sponsor sporting activities in the country.
Namwamba added that the Ministry of Sports was committed to promoting the values of transparency, accountability and integrity in sports.
"I assure you that I have made it clear to all the 69 federations that those values are our bare minimum requirement. Let us do our best so that when we leave office, we can sit back and be happy to see Kenyans enjoy the fruits of the tree we plant today," Namwamba added.
