
Bandari FC team manager Albert Ogari, On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, revealed that he invited Tanzanian side Coastal Union to Kenya to expose his players to international matches.
Coastal Union arrived in Mombasa on Tuesday, January 10, and is expected to play a friendly match against the Dockers on Wednesday evening.
According to Ogari, the main reason for inviting the Tanzanian side is to give his players a taste of international football.

He disclosed that Bandari has intentions of featuring in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions.
“One of the reasons we invited the team is to expose our players to international matches on time for we have the ambition to play continental matches in the future.
"These kinds of matches and benchmarking with teams from other dispensations helps a team prepare for future assignments,” he was quoted by Mozzart Sport.
In a statement, the Tanzanian side acknowledged the invite indicating that they had already arrived in the country ready for the friendly fixture.
"We are in Mombasa, Kenya, and God willing tomorrow we will play a friendly match against Bandari FC" read a statement from the Tanzanian side.
Bandari is currently ranked 11th in the KPL table with eight points from seven matches.
They are 10 points behind league leaders Tusker FC and six points above the relegation zone.
On the other hand, Coastal Union, which is based in Tanga, has garnered 17 points so far in the Tanzanian Premier League, six more than the bottom-placed Polisi Morogoro.
