
Former Kenyan international Anthony Kimani has been appointed as the head coach of Bandari FC on a permanent basis ahead of the 2022/2023 Kenya Premier League kick off.
Albert Ogari, the Dockers team manager broke the news during the club’s pre-season training in Nairobi.
"I can confirm that Modo will be with us for now because he signed a deal with the club although not sure of the time span.

"Everyone noticed the changes in terms of play and results he instilled in the boys and of course he deserved the chance to help the team achieve its target of a maiden league title," he was quoted by Citizen Digital.
Kimani who is commonly known as “Modo” replaced Rwandan international Andre Casa Mbungo in February 2022 on an acting capacity.
He helped the Coastal-based club to register a fourth place finish behind winners Tusker FC, record Champions Gor Mahia FC and Kakamega Homeboyz.
Modo has previously played for a number of Kenyan clubs including Sofapaka FC, Nairobi City Stars and Bandari FC.

He also had stints with Mathare United and AFC Leopards. Kimani coached the latter in 2021 before resigning to look for new challenges.
He earned his first national team call up in 2010 while at Sofapaka and went on to feature for Harambee Stars until 2013.
Bandari will open their 2022/2023 Kenya Premier League campaign against Police FC on September 11. The match will be played at Nyayo National Stadium.
