The Kenya Premier League has landed a mega deal with DesignStudio, a branding agency that rebranded the English Premier League a few years ago.

According to a press statement released by KPL, the high-profile agency will change the face of the national league.

“As part of our phase 2 rebranding stage, we’re pleased to announce the engagement of DesignStudio as the league's official branding partner.

“DesignStudio will work with the league, members clubs and other stakeholders to rebrand the Kenya Premier League brand identity, website and other media assets,” read part of the press release.

DesignStudio's chief executive officer, Mark Liney, stated that they look forward to improving the status of the Kenyan league.

“We love the Kenyan Premier League’s vision for the future of the sport and we are honoured to be partnering together to grow the brand for the next chapter of the league and, and the next generation of sports fans, in Kenya and beyond.

“We are so excited about the incredible opportunity to rebuild the profile of the sport and support the league’s ambition to grow football at a grassroots level for the players and the fans of the future,” ended his statement.

KPL commercial director, Taiwo Atieno, on the other hand, stated that they would leave no one behind as they begin the branding journey with DesignStudio.

“This will be an exciting period for all football stakeholders and all those who love the game. We shall involve as many stakeholders in the rebranding process as possible so we can truly deliver a unique football brand for Kenya Premier League,” read his statement.

DesignStudio has offices in New York, London, Sydney and Shanghai and it has worked with some of the world’s biggest sports governing bodies including World Rugby, EPL, Airbnb and British Airways.
