Australian Olympic athlete Peter Bol's provisional suspension was lifted after a B sample proved his innocence.
Bol, an 800m athlete, had earlier denied the allegations that he doped after the A sample in October 2022 returned positive.
With the suspension, the 28-year-old was barred from training at national facilities, competing at any level and receiving funding from the federation.

“Pursuant to the relevant provisions in the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy 2021 and World Anti-Doping Code 2021, the Mandatory Provisional Suspension which was imposed on the Athlete following the AAF from the Part A Sample on January 10, 2023 is lifted,” a statement from Sports Integrity Australia read.
In a letter posted on his socials on Tuesday, January 14, Bol revealed that his A samples had been leaked.
“I appreciate the support from my family, my team, and so many people from Australia and worldwide. January 2023 has been nothing less than a nightmare.
“I wish that the results of my A Sample had not been leaked, but there is nothing I can do about that. To say it one more time: I am innocent and have not taken this substance as I was accused,” Bol’s statement read in part.
Bol emphasised that he has never attempted to purchase, research, possess, administer, or even use any Prohibited Substance.
Sports Integrity Australia noted that despite lifting the suspension, the investigation into the matter remained ongoing.
“As part of its investigation, Sport Integrity Australia will consider whether any anti-doping rule violations have been committed. It is impossible to provide a timeframe at this point,” Sports Integrity Australia highlighted.
