
The Manchester United Forward picked up a knee injury yesterday while on international duty against Kazakhstan in the World Cup qualifiers where France beat Kazakhstan 2-0.
The 25 year-old Frenchman was key in Sunday's victory over Kazakhstan after he assisted Ousmane Dembele in firing France ahead in the 19th minute.
Having put up an outstanding performance in the first half, Martial faced it rough in the second half after he was seen holding his knee while receiving treatment on the ground, he then continued playing for a couple of minutes before Head Coach Didier Deschamps replaced him with PSG star Kylian Mbappe slightly before the hour mark.
Anthony Martial yesterday played alongside his Manchester United teammate midfielder Paul Pogba who recently recovered from a thigh muscle injury. Paul Pogba also paved the way for Juventus's Adrien Rabiot in the 60th minute.
Manchester United are currently awaiting reports on the attacker's injury from Les Bleus so as to understand the severity of his injury.
The reigning world champions will face off Bosnia and Herzegovina at 9:45pm EAT as Ukraine take on Kazakhstan in their Group D clash for the World Cup Qualifiers.
