Kenyan Midfielder Signs for Top Swedish Club

Kenyan Midfielder Maqbul Daudi has been officially signed by Swedish club, Gota BK

 18-year-old Maqbul Daudi has been signed by Swedish sixth-tier side Göta BK for an undisclosed period.

The Kenyan midfielder can play various positions such as wing-back, right-winger and can also put in a shift at central midfield.

The Swedish side was impressed with his versatility while also highlighting his explosive energy.

“We are very happy to present our new acquisition, Maqbul Daudi. He is 18 years old and comes from Kenya with merit from the U17 national team. We are extremely proud that Maqbul has chosen us as his first club in Sweden. Maqbul is a strong, explosive and strong player that we think we will be able to use in several positions,” read the Club’s statement.

Maqbul, who is a graduate of Ligi Ndogo football academy, has played for Soka Talent and was recently signed at Kibra United.

His Kibra united teammates wished the young star all the best in his new chapter.

Maqbul becomes the latest Kenyan footballer to find a home in Sweden.
