The game between Harambee Stars and Rwanda ended as a stalemate with both teams managing a goal a piece. Skipper Michael Olunga was the first to put Kenya on the score sheet in the 9th minute. Rwandese keeper Emery Mvuyekure had a fumble between the sticks there after Olunga pounced on the chance with a cracking shot past the uncoordinated defense.
Still early in the first half, Rwanda quickly found its equaliser through 24 year old Abdul Rwatubyaye. The centre back pounced on a loose ball from a corner kick that later had them completely back in the tight game.
For Harambee Stars the draw sees them settle for 2nd place in the Group E table (2 points). Mali still top the table with 3 points while Uganda and Rwanda both rest at 3rd and 4th position respectively with a point each. Harambee Stars will now prepare themselves for a clash with Mali come 6th of October.
