The 10.56km Hell's Gate Safari rally is expected to take part from 24th -27th June in Naivasha. The preparations of the event are underway as the organizers of the Safari Rally shape up the park that is meant to be the main venue of the event.

The Hells Gate National Park 'Power stage' was picked as the venue to host the Rally simply because it could be well defined as a crowd pulling area with its beautiful attractive scenes .

WRC Safari Rally CEO Phineas Kimathi during a media briefing in Naivasha noted that the Power Stage will be televised live giving the world a scenic look of what the country has to offer.

The broadcasting of this World Rally Championship event that Kenya got an opportunity to host will be a big boost to the tourism sector as the WRC is considered a very much TV driven event.

The amount of publicity that the power stage will generate and the scenic view of the Lake Naivasha area is actually anticipated to attract so many tourists to the country since it will see the event be broadcasted before 70 million Television viewers in about 150 countries.

The main  event will see over 2500 rally participants ,managers and government officials all assemble in Naivasha for the competition.

After sports activities having been suspended in the country as a measure to curb the rising numbers of Covid-19 cases this still hasn't halted the preparations of the WRC event in June.

With 76 days away from the main event the organizers are hopeful that the government will consider resuming sports events for prior preparations of drivers meant to participate at the power stage.
