Egypt Bid For Hosting CAF CL Final

The Egyptian Football Association has officially submitted its candidacy for the staging the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League final later in May 2021.

It would be the second time in a row for Egypt to host the competition's final after hosting it last edition in which Al Ahly won.

Al Ahly SC beat bitterest rivals Zamalek SC 2-1 to the clinch the title.

The Egyptian Football Association also requested for hosting rights of the 2023 Africa U20 Championship.

The CAF Champions League is currently at the quarter final stage and Tanzanian giants Simba SC are the only surviving club from the CECAFA region left in the competition.
