Norwich Sacks Manager Despite 2-1 Win Over Brentford.
Norwich have fired manager Daniel Farke after beating Brentford to record his first Premier League victory of the season.
The Canaries endured a terrible start to the campaign, losing eight of their first 10 league games, but won in West London on Saturday afternoon.
Farke's dismissal ends his four-and-a-half stint at Carrow Road, after achieving two promotions to the Premier League.
Farke, appointed as Norwich head coach in 2017, helped the club earn promotion to the Premier League twice but has never been able to keep the Canaries in the top tier.
Backroom staff members Eddie Riemer, Chris Domogalla and Christopher John have all also left the club.
“In continuing to demand the very best for our football club, this decision was not an easy one” Sporting director Stuart Webber stated.
“I know how determined Daniel and his staff were to succeed at this level, but we feel that now is the right time for a change to give ourselves the best opportunity of retaining our Premier League status.
“All at Norwich City should be forever grateful to Daniel and his staff for the significant role they have played in our journey.
“It’s important that we now look forward. We have 27 league games remaining and a long way to go in the current season. We know we have the ability within our playing squad and staff to start picking up points and climbing the league table.
“Daniel and his staff will always be welcome back here. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their hard work and wish them well for the future." The sporting director highlighted.
Norwich currently sits 19th in the Premier League table, having only gathered five points from their opening 11 games.
Norwich's next game is against Southampton at Carrow Road on November 20 after the international break.
