FKF President Nick Mwendwa is currently arraigned at anti-corruption court whereas Police are seeking orders to detain him for 14 days to complete investigations.
The Director of Criminal Investigations filed a miscellaneous application to have Mwendwa detained at the Gigiri Police Station. Mwendwa was arrested last Friday over alleged graft. He was taken to the DCI Headquarters where he was questioned on how FKF spent Ksh 430 million advanced to FKF from 2016 by the Sports, Arts and Social Development for running football activities.
Mwendwa was also grilled on Ksh244 million extended to the federation to prepare Harambee Stars for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
