The national women volleyball team Malkia Strikers will receive high intense training from four Brazilian coaches ahead of the Tokyo Olympic Games. The four coaches are in the country courtesy of the world governing body FIVB.

The four coaches will be in Kenya for a 10-day scouting visit to assess the team, Malkia Strikers, and then head back to Brazil to prepare for the arrival of this team in Brazil for a month of high performance training bubble camp.

The African Queens will have a series of matches meant to sharpen them while in Brazil.

Malkia strikers have been in residential training bubble camp at Kasarani Stadium and Kenyatta University.

KVF President  Waithaka Kioni said, “We are extremely delighted and honored by the support we have received not just from the government of Kenya but also from FIVB. They have invested a substantial amount of money in preparing Malkia Strikers for the Tokyo Games,”

Apart from the camp in Brazil, Malkia will also have another 10-day training camp in Kurobe City, Japan, ahead of the Olympics where they have lined up two friendly matches with local clubs.
