KCB FC coach Zedekiah Otieno has asked the Ministry of Sports to handle the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) issue cautiously with wisdom so as to avoid any ban from FIFA.
The former Harambee Stars coach likened the situation to the Solomon's Bible story, where two women were brought to him each one claiming to be the mother to the child and Solomon used his wisdom to solve the case.
Zico noted that the people who are celebrating that Kenya should be banned are not directly involved in football.
He noted that the players, coaches and referees will be the ones to suffer if the ban was to be declared against Kenya.
“This decision should be given a very wide and wise thought , like just in the Bible where King Solomon used his wisdom to solve the situation as two women came to him claiming to be the mother to one child.”
“The people who are celebrating that Kenya should be banned are not directly involved in football, look at the coaches, players and also referees nobody is for FIFA ban.”
This matter should be taken seriously because when the ban comes our referees are not going to officiate internationally and recently we have seen our referees officiate various international competitions.”
“If we get a ban our players cannot turn professional because it's only the federation which confirms one as they are the body in charge of the transfer certificates, so the ban will hinder us from exposure that is needed in the world scene.”
Look at clubs like Gor Mahia and Tusker who are already participating in the continental tournament and with the looming ban they won't continue participating ,” he concluded
