Henry Meja's agent Atotos Sports has decided to take legal action against the player's former club, Tusker FC.

According to Atotos Sports, Tusker FC failed to remit part of the player’s transfer fees to AIK. A source who sought anonymity revealed that the agency, Atotos Sports, had a deal with Tusker over the transfer of their players to European clubs where they are entitled to part of the transfer fees.

Atotos have been responsible for helping Tusker sell two of their players this year with David Majak and Meja joining Swedish top-flight sides FF Kalmar and AIK respectively. While the source confirmed that the agency got money from Tusker for Majak, they are yet to be given their cut on Meja.

The Brewers got a staggering Ksh 16.5M in the Meja deal from AIK however

the club has been reluctant to remit what they owe the agency “Atotos was responsible for both deals and while they got money for Majak which wasn’t that much, Tusker has refused to remit the money on Meja. It has given the agency no option but to take the matter to court as they see it as the only option left for them to get what they deserve,” the source said.

For Meja, it is unclear where his stance is as his whereabouts are reported to be at Kakamega.

Meja officially signed with AIK in September 2021 but was loaned back to his team where he is expected to travel to Sweden in January. AIK Fotboll, more commonly known simply as AIK, took to their official social media pages to confirm the signing of the 19-year-old sensation on a 5-year deal. In February 2021, Henry was selected for the first time in the national team captain Jacob Mulee's A national team.

The debut for Harambee Stars took place at the Venue Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi on March 15, 2021, when Kenya hosted Tanzania in a training international match. Meja replaced Lawrence Juma in the 70th minute of the match in which Kenya won 2-1.
