Heading to the return leg of their CAF Confederation Cup play-off round tie against Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien away in North Africa, Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano believes a place in the group stages is within range.
The tactician says basing on how he assessed the opponents, they have the ability to press them in their own turf and vie for victory.
“We did not win, they did not win and so the game is open. We will go there and try to score to win. I believe in myself and I believe in my team. I am a winner and we will fight to win. We are going there to enjoy the game. The more we enjoy the game, the better the possibility of scoring,” coach Matano stated.
He added; “When we score they have to score twice and once we get a goal, I believe it will make us more relaxed. I am confident that we can do well because I have seen how they play and I know they are beatable.
The tactician will miss the services of left back Hillary Wandera in the match, the defender having been wheeled off in the first half after dislocating his elbow.
Wandera is expected to be out for three weeks.
Tusker depart the country on Wednesday night and are expected in Tunis on Thursday at 1pm before taking a three-hour bus trip to Sfax, the venue of Sunday’s match.
