
Barely a day after FIFA suspended Kenya from taking part in any international matches, the under 17 women's national team has been disqualified from the World Cup.
CAF, has announced that Kenya will not participate in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup first round of qualifier.
In a letter to the concerned parties by the CAF Senior Manager of Women Football and Futsal Heba Sarwat, South Africa automatically qualifies to the next round following Kenya's disqualification.

"Kindly be informed that due to the suspension of FKF by FIFA, Kenya U17 Women's team is disqualified from the African qualifiers of FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup,India 2022. Consequently, matches 19 & 20 are cancelled as well as the missions of all designated officials,” part of the letter read.
The announcement came as Kenya was preparing to name the squad that would take part in the tournament.
The national Women's side, Harambee Starlets, was bundled out of the Africa Women Cup of Nations a month earlier, with CAF also citing government interference in FKF matters.
The Ministry of Sports attempted to reverse the decision but CAF stood its ground despite Starlets being at camp for 21 days.
In Kenya a caretaker committee was established by the government to run the country's football affairs and has been in office for five months.
The caretaker committee has been running the football affairs in the country with questions arising over its recognition by CAF and FIFA.
FIFA banned Kenya on February 24, arguing that the government interfered with FKF by imposing a caretaker committee and disbanding the Nick Mwenda led team.
Other than not participating in international matches, locally-based players cannot be signed by any professional football club outside the country.
Kenyan referees cannot also officiate any international fixtures.
