PSG and Brazilian forward, Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, commonly known as Neymar, is a talented footballer who has perfected his craft over the years.

Neymar has registered resounding success in various leagues across the world with his skills proving valuable for football giants like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

During his time at both clubs, the Brazilian star was christened the father of weird patterns for apparently missing matches in the month of March.

In the said month, Neymar has constantly missed matches for almost eight years now. The month is his sister's birthday.

Neymar's small sister, Rafaella Santos, celebrates her birthday on March 11, a period in which the 30-year-old striker has missed matches either because of an injury or a suspension.

His first miss came in March 2015 when he was handed an innocuous suspension after accumulating a total of five yellow cards.

Barcelona gave him the permission to travel to his home country, Brazil, where he celebrated his sister's birthday.

The same happened in the following year as he received a suspension after accumulating a total of five yellow cards. After the suspension, he took off to Brazil and celebrated his sisters birthday.

In March 2017, the Brazilian managed to change the norm by not picking up a suspension. He, however, suffered an adductor injury.

Neymar was again unfortunate as in 2018, he missed a game after suffering a broken metatarsal and sprained ankle, ruling him out for a few weeks.

He opted to have his recovery in Brazil where he celebrated his sister's birthday.

In 2019, Neymar was injured for the majority of the second half of the season, including the whole month of March.

During this period, he missed one of PSG’s important matches that saw his team lose 2-0 to Manchester United.

In 2020, Neymar was sidelined with a rib injury in February. This time, he missed football matches during his sister's birthday.

In mid February 2021, Neymar sustained an injury which put him on the sidelines for a minimum of four weeks.

Currently Neymar is fit and expected to feature in the Champions League fixture against Real Madrid on March 9, before meeting Bordeaux on March 13.
